At West Kernow Motorcycle Engineers we can do a full restoration of your motorcycle or a repair depending on your requirements.
Here we have a Suzuki GSXR 750ws model which has undergone a full bodywork and chassis restoration, including a front and rear suspension rebuild. As you can see from the pictures a very nice example of this model has been acheived to a very high standard, this bike is used daily and not just for show although it attracts a lot of attention wherever it goes.
Here we have a cheyney triumph that is used in classic motorcycle scrambles, this machine had its motor rebuilt, new timing gear fitted and set up, oil pump repaired and had its crankcase breathers sorted to stop it dumping its oil on the floor.
This is a BSA A10 we completely restored, we stripped the bike back to the frame and had it blasted, we opted to paint the frame rather than powdercoat it so keeping with the original finish, it got new chrome rims with stainless spokes, fortunately the chrome on the tank was still in good condition so the tank only needed painting.
We had to completely rebuild the motor although the crank and rods were ok but fitted new bearings ect. We went into the gearbox but all was well so just replaced bearings and seals, primary drive chain was good but rebuilt the clutch, this is but a small insight into all that was done to this now lovely machine.
This is a Kawasaki GPZ 900 which has been totally restored, and is a replica of the famous bike from the film Top Gun as riden by Tom Cruise.
The bike was a wreck when it came to us and we had to strip it to its last nut and bolt to start the build, frame, swingarm and wheels were sent for blasting and powder coating to give a solid protective coat.
The customers brief was to restore the bike to its former glory and to replicate the GPZ900 from the film Top Gun, so with a lot of research by ourselves and the customer we believe we have the best copy of this bike out there.
We think the end result was worth the 116 hours work, as the customer now has a brand new Kawasaki GPZ 900 A1, so completing his long ambition to own one of these 80s muscle bikes and by adding a twist made it special.
We took this rare 1957 Road Rocket and did a complete nut and bolt restoration as with the other A10, but as you can see from the picture we had our work cut out.
Check out the gallery there is a slection of pictures with before and after pictures but as you can see from this picture the results were worth it.
